Mark Ortman, a skilled past mediator for the WDRC, wrote a fabulous book - The Secret to Everyday Communication (Without Argument) - and is going to share more of his learnings with us. "Everyday communication works, until it doesn't. Whether at home or at work, when opinions, or what two people want differs, talk can quickly turn into an argument. Growing frustration can lead to words weaponized to hurt—all to prove one's point. There is a better way.
