Welcome to WDRC Volunteer, Kristy Gallegos!
Kristy Gallegos is a senior at Western Washington University, pursuing a Fairhaven Concentration in Education and Social Justice, specifically advocating for the reduction of institutional violence and harm. Kristy moved to Bellingham in 2015 and fell in love with the community. She was initially attracted to the WDRC after learning about our efforts around restorative justice and community empowerment. Kristy hopes to learn more about the reaches of restorative justice and how she can advocate for her community and their needs around seeking justice both in and outside of institutions. In her spare time, Kristy also volunteers as an advocate at DVSAS. She enjoys going on adventures with her dog, writing, and taking long drives through the forest .
